My life has been an adventure filled with volumes of unique people, varied cultures and wild episodes ranging from the tragic to the uproarious. Throughout the years friends and associates have lauded my narratives and encouraged me to write my stories. Now I have the time. My books derive from a multi-colored pallet, spanning politics, economics, science, sci-fi and psychological twists.
I promise you the following: Action, mystery and suspense; A plausible plot by making the improbable possible; Relatable characters; Thought-provoking facts and ideas.
My life experience: I am a habitual entrepreneur, starting, owning and managing several companies, ranging from global importing and exporting of steel components to medical blood-products to scientific bioresearch.
I was politically active in my youth, listening, meeting and speaking with many big-name politicos of the day. I assisted several friends that entered politics and had long, successful careers.
Since the early 1970’s I have traveled the world (I am still trying to burn through an accumulation of frequent-flyer miles). Although I did a great deal of business in Europe, the Pacific was my ‘pond’, not the Atlantic. I experienced firsthand the economic miracle of Asia, witnessing China’s major population centers evolve from Mao suits and bicycles to dominant centers of capitalism.
Over the years I profitably sold my companies and have since focused on books and blogs. Writing is not new territory. A Uni degree in history, English and philosophy was yeoman’s apprenticeship in writing and development of new thoughts. An MBA honed communication skills, orally and written.
For years I have written stories as a hobby. Now, writing has moved fulltime to the center of my life-adventure. I constantly read and study top writers successful in their genres. My favorite pleasure-read is thrillers. I appreciate the form and function. A well-written thriller immerses the reader in a previously unknown world inhabited by stimulating, smart characters. I attempt to incorporate how they build action to a pulse-quickening crescendo that makes believable an otherwise improbable scenario. And, at the end of the roller-coaster ride, the reader has gained something they would never have sought on their own; knowledge in an unexplored realm. I hope you find my books achieve this.
